Look through the grid and read the different activities and projects. It is your goal to complete a minimum of 8 of the items on the grid. You get to chose the six items and if you can complete more than 8 you will be even more successful in this course. There are many options. You do not have to decide today which 8 you will do, however, be thinking of your choices and be prepared to start working on them at our next session. You will also need to prepare a In-Depth Self Study Contract with Ms. Mills next time. You can tackle one choice at a time or you can work concurrently. Remember this class is not only about you, but also operated and completed by yourself and your effort. Some of the activities may need to be worked on outside of the classroom to be completed. You might also need Ms. Mills to help you facilitate some of these choice, but that is why she is here! Don't be afraid to chose something because you worry that you can't do it on your own.
Personal Question Journal What are major questions that you have concerning yourself as a person? Begin by writing these questions down in a journal and discover answers during the semester and jot them down for further reflections.
Two Hours of Silence Okay, this is the time to experience you. No cell phones, ipods, friends, or family. Experience you for two hours. What did you experience and what did you learn. Only take your journal, a pen and your favorite book with you. After the two hours write about your experience.
Finish a Gestalt The word “gestalt” means closure. Is there something in your past that you want closure for. It can be positive or negative. Perhaps begin by answering one or more of these questions: If this was the last time you would see this person, what would you say that would leave a lasting impression? If you were alone in a room with a person that you have struggled with or that has hurt you, what do you need to bring to the encounter that would enable you to be heard and understood? Finish the gestalt by doing what you need to do.

Seal the capsule and give it to someone to save for you. Place a date on the container of when you would like it to be given back to you. The date must be at least a year.
Mentoring Experience Find a mentor to facilitate your growth as a person and as a leader. Meet with your mentor several times, share emails, phone calls and discuss your personal growth for your future as a leader or future proffessional. Write a summary of your experience. (Mr. Wilkinson can help with this)
